Corey Plante
Corey Plante was the Associate Gaming Editor at Inverse, where he covered the world of video games and the people who make them.
Corey held several different roles at Inverse after joining the team in 2016, including Operations Specialist, Copy Editor, and Entertainment Staff Writer. Before that, he was the Assistant Editor of Motif Magazine, a local arts, entertainment, and culture magazine based in Rhode Island. Corey graduated from Emerson College’s Masters in Multimedia Journalism program in 2015, receiving the annual Graduate Student Excellence Reward for reporting on local crime. Corey earned an undergraduate degree in Literature & Language Arts from Providence College.
Corey grew up playing Zelda games with his Mémère (his French Canadian grandmother), and while Nintendo isn’t really his bag anymore, he does wish she could have played Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. They are awesome! Other franchise favorites include anything made by Bungie, Final Fantasy, Mass Effect, and the original Overwatch (just to name a few). Cooking and exercising remain two of his favorite hobbies — although not typically at the same time.
