Emily Capettini (she/they) is a queer fiction writer from the Midwest who loves a good ghost story. She is the author of Thistle (Omnidawn, 2015) and the flash fiction chapbook Girl Detectives (forthcoming Porkbelly Press). Their essays and flash fiction have been published in places like Doubleback Review, Passages North, and Okay Donkey Magazine.

Based in Indiana, she is an Assistant Professor of English and teaches courses in creative writing, science fiction, and fandom studies.
