Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailer leaves fans thirsting for the hot professors

Oh no, they’re hot!

Meet Professor Sada and Turo. It’s like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet just introduced you to two hot strangers from across the bar. Nintendo dropped its second Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailer Wednesday with a preview of what to expect from the setting, including endearing new Pokémon, open-world mechanics, and more realistic black hair textures. However, of all the exciting details, fans especially honed in one fact: The professor(s) have never been hotter.

Pokémon Scarlet features Professor Sada, a tanned woman with striking blue eyes, wild hair, and rock-hard abs. Meanwhile, Pokémon Violet boasts Professor Turo, who rocks an undercut, chiseled jaw, and general resemblance to a boyband member. I’m on the ace spectrum, but even I could tell that they were going to be on the “bang” spectrum for adult fans.

“For the first time, one of two different professors will appear in the game depending on which version players choose,” reads the press release. “In Pokémon Scarlet, players will meet Professor Sada, and in Pokémon Violet, players will meet Professor Turo. Each professor is carrying out research into lore passed down in the region.”

Forget version-exclusive Pokémon. For the first time, the series has version-exclusive professors. You can only have one. Now players have to weigh the odds between professors, Legendaries, and whatever other perks weigh in favor of either version.

Of course, Twitter was quick to boost the trend to the top of the algorithm. Others posted comparisons between Professor Turo and real-life male models, while others sketched out Professor Suda’s muscular physique.

“OH NO THEY’RE HOT!” one user cried out. Many agree, considering the hundreds of likes on the post.

The Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailer also dropped on the first day of Pride Month. Naturally, that meant LGBTQA+ jokes had to be said because of allyship.

“The bis are winning today,” one person wrote. Well, to be technical, I guess anyone who likes hot men and/or women is winning today.

This isn’t the first time that Pokémon fans have raved about hot professors.

Pokémon Go’s Professor Willow was the first to really kick off the conversation. Fans were drawn to his “silver fox” look, enough that calling him “daddy” became a youth culture meme. Polygon published its own tier list of professors based on objective hotness. If Inverse had its own tier list, Professor Sada and Turo would definitely be at the top.

Nintendo hasn’t revealed how Professor Sada and Turo will differ personality-wise — or if it’ll really matter if people are that thirsty for them based on appearance alone. It could be a detail in a trailer or press release closer to the release date. At the very least, we know that each professor is researching lore related to the region. It’s unclear if they are researching the same topic.

Perhaps that topic is ... romance.

This is precisely how Brock would react if he met either of these two.
