Where to find the Grapple Glove in Fortnite and how to use it
These work almost exactly like the Web-Shooters.
Epic Games has reintroduced one of Fortnite’s best mechanics: swinging. In previous seasons, swinging was made possible with the use of Web-Shooters, but now that Spider-Man is out of the picture, you’ll have to utilize the Grapple Glove, which was just added. These items appear in fixed locations around the map at Grapple Stops. There are 10 Grapple Stops in total, and here, we’ll show you where to find all of them so you can get to swingin’. Why walk when you can swing around much faster?
Where are the Fortnite Grapple Glove locations?
The nice thing about Grapple Stops is that they spawn in fixed locations around the map, meaning you don’t have to rely on RNG to find them. You do, however, have to worry about other players getting there before you, but this can usually be mitigated if you pick a Grapple Stop that’s out of the way.
As you can see on the map above, the Grapple Stops are pretty evenly spaced out around the map. If you’re worried about another player swooping in and stealing your Grapple Gloves before you can get to them, we recommend picking a location far away from the main path of the Battle Bus as you land.
Once you arrive, you’ll find a little station with a purple crane on top. Inside the stations are toolboxes that contain the Grapple Gloves, so open them up, and equip the item before use. There’s usually a nice selection of loot at these spots, as well, so make sure you collect everything possible to help you start the match on the right foot. It’s worth noting you can only carry one set of Grapple Gloves at any given time.
How to use the Fortnite Grapple Glove
Swinging around with the Grapple Gloves works almost exactly like the Web-Shooters. You’ll target a Grapple point and then use the right trigger to attach and swing to it. You can then easily target the next Grapple point and you’ll pick up momentum as you swing from point A to B.
Keep in mind, the Grapple Gloves do have a limited number of uses, so try not to waste them all at once. Sadly, there isn’t a way to “reload” the Grapple Glove, so if you run out of uses, you’ll have to get your hands on another pair, instead.
One thing you should be aware of is that you have to have a Grapple point to latch onto in order to swing. This might seem obvious, but it’s worth mentioning, especially for those who like to venture out into the ocean where there are no tall surfaces to Grapple onto. Though, you’ll find the game to be quite lenient for what it considers a Grapple point.
