'Black Mirror: Bandersnatch' Every Ending: Reddit Flowcharts Show Happy End

It’s been just a few short days since Black Mirror: Bandersnatch hit Netflix, but it didn’t take long for intrepid fans of the mind-bending series to map out every possible outcome in the choose-your-own-adventure experience. According to the show’s creators, Bandersnatch features five different endings and over 300 minutes of footage in total. Here’s what you need to know to get every ending — possibly in just one sitting.

If you haven’t actually watched Bandersnatch yet — well, first of all, what are you doing here? But also — here’s a quick summary. The story focuses on Stefan, a video game programmer in the 1980s working on a choose-your-own-adventure game titled Bandersnatch based on a branching narrative book of the same name. Choices you make throughout the experience affect the quality of the game (and it’s final review), along with the life of the protagonist, his family, his therapist, and various co-workers.

The first big decision asks whether you want to make the game with a professional team or go it alone. Picking the first option will result in an immediate game over (the video game is rushed to release and gets a zero out of five review score), sending you back to make the decision again and choose to work on your own instead. From there, things get predictably weirder. You can do LSD with a co-worker, get in a kung-fu fight with your therapist, and kill your dad. At one point, the protagonist even realizes he’s being controlled and you have to try to explain what Netflix is to someone in the ‘80s in a particularly hilarious sequence.

You can spend 90 minutes or so wandering through the game and experience most of what it has to offer, but if you’re looking for a definitive guide then Reddit has you covered.

As you can see, there’s isn’t really a “happy” ending to Bandersnatch, which shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone familiar with Black Mirror. The only way to get a five-star review requires that you kill your own father (though he might not actually be your father at all). There’s also an option to rewrite history entirely, but that ends with Stefan essentially committing suicide as a young child and instantaneously dropping dead in the present. So take your pick.

Still, with these two guides, you should at least be able to get the full Bandersnatch experience. Then again, with over 300 hours of footage, it’s possible there’s some extra stuff hidden in there that no one has seen yet.
