HAIM's New Album Will Be Out This Year
The LA trio will follow up their excellent debut Days Are Gone later this year.
In 2013 HAIM — the pop rock group formed by sisters Danielle, Este and Alana Haim — released Days Are Gone, one of the most polished and irresistable debuts in recent memory. (It is a defining release in the great Ariel Rechtshaid-wave of ought ‘13). Today, the group announced that they’re working on their sophomore LP, which automatically sets itself as one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Also, they’ll be touring the new stuff at festivals across the country this summer. Behold:
Given that HAIM spent the last year on the road with Taylor Swift, I’m sure no one would be surprised if they sought to tap into some of that 1989 mojo. And if they continue to work with Rechtshaid — nothing has been announced yet, but it seems likely that they will — I think it’s safe to say HAIM LP2 is primed to be one of the year’s biggest records.
No word if or how A$AP Ferg will be involved, but watch this space for more info on those developments.
