MouseMingle.com Matches Disney Fans
Finding a mouse-eared soulmate may have just gotten a bit easier.
MouseMingle.com is now active, giving fans of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald Duck, and all things Disney a place to meet online.
Intended for singles looking to date someone who puts Disney high on their personal list of priorities, MouseMingle launched Tuesday to a strong reception, so much so that by Thursday morning, some interested participants found themselves rebuffed, as a Twitter-to-Facebook post from the site explains:
However, once in you join up by creating a personality profile (membership is $12.55 monthly). Most questions asked during the profile-building process are standard—your age, gender, appearance, and such—but there are also boxes to check that will quickly demonstrate potential suitors to your hardcore Disney-ness, like “What are your favorite characters?” and “What type of Disney shopper are you?” Also seemingly important things to know like “What type of annual (Disneyland) pass do you have?” and “Favorite Disney songs” are questions members can address when attempting to suss out a suitable Mickey or Minnie match.
Furthermore, MouseMingle recognizes that Star Wars and Marvel are now Disney properties—which means when picking boxes to indicate “Favorite Characters,” one could potentially go with The Little Mermaid’s Ariel, Tigger from Winnie the Pooh …and Darth Vader.
One might think that with the Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Captain America: Civil War trailers making big noise all over the web, this could be yet another successful feather in Disney’s currently buzzing cap—but a check of the disclaimer explains clearly that MouseMingle is completely unaffiliated with the Walt Disney Company.
In other words, there is nothing on this site that indicates its members will get into any sneak previews of The Force Awakens. But—if you are looking for someone special who loves “A Whole New World,” Lady and the Tramp, and visits a Disney theme park as much as three times a month, bon appetit.
