Common to Play the Bad Guy In 'John Wick 2'

Just Wright star Common will play the villain in the forthcoming John Wick 2, reports The Hollywood Reporter. While further details about Common’s role have not been yet announced, he’ll begin filming his scenes once he’s done with The Wiz Live!.

John Wick 2 begins filming this fall under the watch of Chad Stahelski — John Wick co-director David Leitch is filming a spy movie starring Charlize Theron at the moment — and additions like Common seem promising as the one-off thriller spins into a franchise. In a description worthy of an Empire casting call, Common will play “the movie’s chief villain, a head of security for a female crime lord.” We are all Wicknesses.
