Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, the next installment of Ubisoft’s uber-popular Assassin’s Creed franchise, is taking place in Victorian-era London amidst the Industrial Revolution.

Officially announced back in May, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is tapping into the restless urban violence of the era as seen through the eyes of gang leaders Jacob and Evie Frye, twin siblings and Syndicate’s protagonists. Players become the founders and leaders of the Rooks, a London street gang set on usurping the Templars’ grip on the city.

Ubisoft uploaded a trailer today that finally shows how the gang system works in detail:

It all sounds intimidating at first, but it really boils down to collecting enough cash to unlock resources that make bigger missions later in the game easier to deal with. Gain enough influence and reputation in a rival territory and things come to a head in a massive gang war, Gangs of New York style.

But to get to that point, you’ll have to grind through underground fight clubs, boat raids, and train robberies. (Yes, train robberies.)

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 23, and PC on November 19.
