Guillermo del Toro’s sequel to Pacific Rim is in dire straights, and the possibility of a Pacific Rim franchise is something we have debated about. But for those on the side of wanting this sequel to happen, del Toro himself has given a tantalizing new incentive.

Dammit, del Toro — I was on the side that it was for the best Pacific Rim 2 likely isn’t happening because the first movie said all it wanted to say and not everything needs to be a franchise. But if Arya Stark joins the game, you’re making me eat my words.
