‘Rick and Morty' Season 4, Episode 5 stream: How to watch S4E5 online
How to watch the mid-season finale.
by Corey PlanteEveryone knows that the plumbus is an essential household item, and if you want to stream Rick and Morty Season 4, Episode 5 without one then it might prove challenging. The mid-season finale for Rick and Morty Season 4, “Rattlestar Ricklactica,” airs Sunday, December 15 on Adult Swim, but for anyone looking to figure out the best ways to watch, we’ve got you covered — with or without a plumbus.
After the “Morty gets a dragon episode” with Episode 4, the teaser for Episode 5 showed Morty and Rick flying through space when they got a flat tire. Against Rick’s protests, Morty puts a space suit on and goes outside where he’s bit by a “space snake.” At San Diego Comic Con, the show’s creators also referred to this episode as “the crazy train episode,” and it should also guest-star Paul Giamatti. The episode also takes place during Christmastime, based on the early animated also shown at SDCC.
If fans want to hop aboard this “crazy train,” how can they?
The best option is to watch it live using a cable TV subscription on Cartoon Network at 11:30 p.m. Eastern, but there are other options.
Adult Swim’s website always has a live simulcast when new episodes air, but as of this writing, the Rick and Morty livestream page says that the new episode will be available to stream on demand with a cable subscription as of 3 a.m. Eastern. The same should be the case via the Adult Swim app.
A limited number of cable providers work with Adult Swim, however. They include Comcast, DirecTV, and AT&T. (My cable provider, Optimum, is unfortunately not included, but it allows me to watch episodes after the fact on demand.)
In other words, having cable doesn’t mean you can watch using Adult Swim or the network’s app. Anyone can always buy episodes on YouTube, Amazon, or iTunes — and you can even get a discount if you pre-purchase the entire season — but what can you do if you’re truly desperate?
Pornhub is also a waning hub (pun intended) for Rick and Morty Season 4 piracy, but the website has been cracking down harder and harder on such practices. Project Free TV, Muchoflix, and similar sites also host pirated episodes of the series that are technically illegal. When they’re detected by the network, they often get taken down rather quickly.
We urge our readers to go through the proper channels to watch Rick and Morty Season 4. All of Rick and Morty Season 4 should be added to Hulu’s library by May or June 2020, depending on when the back-half of Season 4 airs.
Perhaps the most expensive option is to use a live TV service like AT&T TV Now, Hulu with Live TV, FuboTV, Sling TV, or YouTube TV. FuboTV also allows subscribers to watch episodes on-demand after they air
No matter which way you watch it, “Rattlestar Ricklactica” will be Rick and Morty Season 4’s mid-season finale. We don’t know exactly when the remaining five episodes of the season will air, but the wait shouldn’t be too long. Don’t expect it before 2020, however.
Rick and Morty Season 4 airs Sunday nights on Adult Swim at 11:30 p.m. Eastern.
