'Fortnite' Glitched Forage Item Locations: Where to Use Them for Junk Storm

Space-time ruptures cause more weirdness in the world of *Fortnite*.

Week 4’s limited-time mission set in Fortnite: Battle Royale is called “Junk Storm,” and it’s a junky, messy assortment of different challenges. Seemingly the only challenge to tie into the title theme, however, has players “Consume Glitched Foraged items” a total a five times. If you have no idea what that means, fret not, because Glitched Foraged items were only just added to the game earlier this week as part of the version 10.10 update that also added Junk Rifts to the game. We’ve got you covered in terms of what you’re looking for and where.

“Glitched Consumables are at the explosion site,” the patch notes read. “These randomly switch between different forageable items from the past.”

Apples, Mushrooms, and all similar items count as consumables. A certain batch of them that spawn exclusively at a new explosion site that replaced the indoor soccer field with the version 10.10 update are “glitched.”

This new zone is similar to but different from the Rift Zones there are spatiotemporal anomalies, but instead of shifting the entire area in space-time, it instead causes the consumables to phase out of reality and transform into different items. You might think you’re grabbing an apple, but it becomes a mushroom before your very eyes.

This map is outdated, but the new "explosion site" is in the former indoor soccer field location.

The above map is from the start of Season X, but in the current form after the version 10.10 update, the indoor soccer field building has been leveled. This “explosion site” is just a spacious dirt lot now, and it’s littered with shimmering forageable items that transform when people try to consume them.

Here’s a full lineup of the possible items:

  • Apples: Grant five health.
  • Mushrooms: Grant five shields.
  • Coconuts: Grant five Effective Health (sum of a player’s health plus shield).
  • Peppers: Increases player movement speed for a short duration.
  • Hop Rocks: Decreases gravity for a short duration.
  • Shadow Stone: Turns players into a ghost for a short time, temporarily increasing their movement speed slightly and letting them dash through structures.

Completing this challenge is simple: Just visit the destination and start guzzling items. The catch is that this entire week, tons of players will be flocking there trying to do the same thing, so it probably won’t be possible in a single go. Get ready to spend several quick matches on this one.

Junk Storm challenges will be available in Fortnite: Battle Royale until August 29 around 9 a.m. Eastern.
