'Fortnite' Week 8 Secret Battle Star Location Leads to a Hidden Banner
Has the Season 8 villain finally emerged?
by Corey PlanteThere’s another hidden banner to find as part of the Fortnite: Battle Royale Discovery challenges in Season 8, Week 8 just like in Week 6. Also just like in Week 6, this particular clue references four specific squares on the Fortnite map, and the hidden banner is located at the point where all four intersect.
The Week 8 loading screen prominently features Ruin, the Season 8 equivalent of the Prisoner skin. Once you complete 55 weekly challenges, you’ll unlock the outfit, along with bonus Ruin challenges that award a special back bling and pickaxe.
Once you complete eight weeks worth of weekly challenges — a total of 56 — then they’ll unlock this week’s loading screen. It’s only fitting then that Ruin would be featured. He looks like a weird combination of the Prisoner and the Ice King with his armor and fiery aesthetic. Is he the real Fire King and the Prisoner was just some kind of poser?
In the flames on either side of Ruin are four total coordinates: B6, C6, B7, C7. That places this location in the northern area of the snowy quadrant, specifically a location north of Polar Peak and southeast of Snobby Shores. Look for the largest landmass on the frozen lake.
For anyone that needs specific guidance, the video at the top of this article from YouTuber garandhero offers a succinct and very clear guide. (Be sure to check out his YouTube page for even more Fortnite videos).
Do you have what it takes to complete 56 challenges in Season 8 and claim this particular hidden banner? Season 8 only has a few more weeks to go.
According to the in-game countdown, Fortnite Season 8 should end on Wednesday, May 8. So it’s entirely possible that Season 9 could begin on Thursday, May 9. Either way, there isn’t much time left to claim Ruin and whatever other prizes might lie beyond.
Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 8, Week 9 should begin Thursday, April 25 around 10:30 a.m. Eastern.
