'Fortnite' Paradise Palms Treasure Map Signpost: Where to Search in Week 8
A return to form for Treasure Map challenges.
by Corey PlanteFortnite: Battle Royale Season 8, Week 8 just kicked off Thursday morning, and the first of several challenges you might need help with is a two-stage treasure map variation.
First, you have to “search the treasure map signpost found in Paradise Palms.” They have to successfully perform the full search animation at the signpost to activate the treasure map. That then offers a more traditional treasure map clue keying you to the second location for Stage 2: “follow the treasure map signpost in Paradise Palms.” That’s where you can then claim a battle star worth 5 tiers.
Because each of these steps can be completed by landing directly at the locations and then letting yourself get eliminated, the entire challenge should take less than five minutes of playtime.
Follow along with the video at the top of this article to see the precise locations in action, and use our below map and screenshots at references.
Where to Search the Treasure Map Signpost Found in Paradise Palms
This first specific location for Stage 1 is obviously in Paradise Palms. All you need to do is reach the signpost and perform the searching animation. This does take a moment, and plenty of cutthroat enemies will try camping there to shotgun vulnerable players as they land.
Specifically, you’ll want to look for the red-brown brick courtyard in the very middle of Paradise Palms. The treasure map signpost is on the south-facing wall just south of that. Activating it should reveal the treasure map included in our above map, which clearly indicates a location in Frosty Flights.

The treasure map clearly pictures Frosty Flights, specifically the two airplane hangars, the six solar panels, the cell tower, and the paved road. You can find the battle star on the western tip of the road, just a few feet into the snow.
