'Fortnite' Week 5 Secret Battle Star Location: Map, Video, and Guide

Fortnite: Battle Royale’s Week 5 challenges just went live a few hours ago, but players have already completed the entire set and located this week’s secret battle star location (and yes, this week it’s an actual battle star). Here’s everything you need to know to parse the latest loading screen and find that star, including a map and a video guide from Fortnite expert and YouTube creator garandhero.

To get the Week 5 Secret Battle Star, the first thing you’ll need to do is complete all the other Fortnite challenges. If you haven’t already, check out our guides for this week’s “Search Between” challenge and another that has you dance on towers across the map.

With that out of the way, you should unlock a special loading screen featuring Trog (a Yeti-inspired skin) pouring tea for his friends. It looks like this (red circle added by us):

Notice the circled object in the top left corner? That’s our star, and Trog’s inclusion suggests we’re looking for a cave somewhere in Fortnite’s new winter biome. Here’s the exact location on the map:

Your best bet is to head there straight from the Battle Bus. Thanks to an opening in the roof of the cave, you can drop right in and land directly on the star itself. However, you may also want to scavenge for weapons nearby at Frosty Flights or Happy Hamlet first in case you encounter any other players when you arrive at the secret star location.

There’s no need to rush either. You still have almost two full months before these challenges expire when Fortnite Season 7 ends at the end of February and Season 8 begins.
