'Fortnite' Giant Candy Canes Locations: Map, Video, Guide, and Strategy

It's possible in one match! Here's how.

Forget huge stone heads. This holiday season, Epic Games wants players to visit giant candy canes in the world of Fortnite: Battle Royale.

To celebrate the holidays, Epic is rolling out special daily challenges as part of “14 Days of Fortnite” to celebrate the holidays. The first one on December 19 simply had players “start or join a Creative server,” forcing them to at least test out the new Creative Mode that was recently added to Fortnite. But Day 2, coinciding with Week 3 challenges, has players “visit giant candy canes.”

These new huge landmarks were added along with various holiday decorations integrated into the game, but players probably haven’t encountered them because they’re somewhat secluded. In every case, the giant candy canes are located on some elevated platform or mountain, and they’re also seemingly impossible to walk up to.

Instead, you’ll have to either land directly at these locations or build ramps up to reach them. It’s also worth noting that landing directly on top of a candy cane doesn’t count.

Look to the center of where each of these candy canes is placed on the map to find them on different peaks in 'Fortnite'.

There isn’t much of a rush on this challenge considering there’s still about two weeks left before the holiday event ends. And because players don’t have to visit both candy canes in a single match, that makes it much easier. That being said, if ambitious players want to finish this in a single match, we suggest landing at the candy cane just northeast of Shifty Shafts and then moving south towards the one that’s west of Fatal Fields — or vice versa.

Unlike the regular challenges that last all season long, the 14 Days of Fortnite challenges and their rewards will be available for a limited amount of time. According to the in-game menu, the 14th challenge unlocks on January 1 and they’re all bound to disappear soon after that.

In an official blog post, Epic Games wrote about how 14 Days of Fortnite will influence all of the game modes. “In addition to the map makeover, the 14 Days of Fortnite event will feature a new challenge with a new free reward every single day,” Epic wrote. “Each day also brings both new and returning LTMs. And finally, be sure and check out the Item Shop for new and returning holiday outfits appearing daily to show off your holiday spirit. Login everyday to see what’s new!”

So expect a wide variety of challenges and LTM over the next two weeks, with at least some of the challenges being far more difficult than this one.

Get festive with the Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 7 debut trailer.
