'Insatiable' Season 2 Release Date, Trailer, Cast, Plot, and More
Patty should be dealing with more legal problems.
by Meredith JacobsInsatiable was one of the most controversial shows of 2018 before it even premiered. The backlash began when the trailer was released in July and even led to petitions to cancel the series before it premiered. However, Netflix released the first season, and, perhaps surprising everyone, has already renewed the series for a second season.
The series follows Patty (Debby Ryan), who was bullied because of her weight. After she loses weight when her jaw is wired shut for three months, she sets out to get revenge on her enemies. A disgraced attorney and beauty pageant coach, Bob Armstrong (Dallas Roberts), decides to take her on as his client.
Whether you’re watching yourself or just want to know what everyone’s talking about without having to tune in, here’s everything we know about Insatiable Season 2, from the release date to the cast, and be sure to check back periodically as we update this post with new details.
Spoilers for Insatiable Season 1 below.
What Happens at the End of Insatiable Season 1?
In the finale, Patty kills her ex-boyfriend, Christian, after he kidnaps Magnolia, her beauty pageant competition. Patty then calls Bob to help her cover up the murder by putting Christian’s car at the bottom of a lake. However, the car doesn’t sink as much as it needs to.
That’s not the only problem. Patty informs Bob she also killed Stella Rose, who had kidnapped and planned to kill her.
When Is the Insatiable Season 2 Release Date?
Despite the controversy surrounding the series before and after its release, Netflix ordered a second season in September. It will be released in 2019, but an exact date has yet to be announced.
Season 1 premiered on August 10, 2018, so it’s possible we’ll see Insatiable Season 2 released at around the same time in 2019.
When Will an Insatiable Season 2 Trailer Be Released?
Netflix released the official trailer for Season 1 on July 19, and the first season hit the streaming service a little under a month later August 10. We can assume that the same will be true for the second season and a trailer will come out a few weeks prior to its release.
If Netflix sticks to the same schedule, that could mean a trailer in mid-July 2019.
What’s the Season 2 Plot?
We don’t know what to expect from Season 2, but we can assume it will deal with the fallout of the Season 1 finale.
Series star Debby Ryan spoke with E! News about what she wants to see for her character moving forward.
“I would love to see her seek medical professional help for some of her problems,” she said.
Who Will Return for Season 2?
We can assume that the Season 1 cast (those whose characters survived, at least) will return in some capacity.
Season 1 starred Debby Ryan, Dallas Roberts, Christopher Gorham, Alyssa Milano, Sarah Colonna, Erinn Westbrook, Kimmy Shields, Michael Provost, and Irene Choi.
Insatiable Season 1 is now streaming on Netflix.
