'Daredevil' Season 4: Deborah Ann Woll Wants "Another Female Character"
by Eric FranciscoNo one knows for sure if Marvel’s Daredevil will be greenlit for Season 4, but one actor has an item still unchecked in the wishlist: Working with another female character on screen.
In an interview with TheWrap, Daredevil star Deborah Ann Woll (“Karen Page”) said she hopes to act with more female performers on screen.
“I don’t get to work with women a lot on this series,” Woll said. “I think it would be really wonderful to have another female character come in that specifically Karen could work side-by-side with.”
There’s certainly no lack of female characters from Daredevil’s comics who have yet to appear in live action and could easily fit in somewhere in the Netflix corner of the MCU. Unfortunately, most of them tend to be Matt Murdock’s romantic interests, though the MCU’s Daredevil is so damaged it’s probably for the best that Matt never has a steady romantic partner ever.
One of the most notable characters in Daredevil’s history who hasn’t been on TV is Milla Donovan, another blind woman whom Matt rescued from a speeding truck. The two dated through Matt’s ordeal when his identity as Daredevil was made public, but their relationship was tarnished after Matt cheated on her (kind of; they were on a “break,” as Ross would put it) with private eye Dakota. Then Kingpin released photos of the illicit affair.
Daredevil also had a pretty serious relationship with Natasha, also known as the deadly Avenger, Black Widow. But it’s doubtful that Daredevil could afford to have Scarlett Johansson play her big movie superhero for Netflix — if there even is a Season 4, anyway.
Marvel’s Daredevil Season 4 is not yet a thing.
