'Incredibles 2' Blu-Ray Bonus Features: Frozone's Wife and Cool Theme Song

by Eric Francisco

Honey always knows where her husband Frozone’s super suit is. But the offscreen character, voiced by Kimberly Adair Clark, almost made an actual appearance in Disney’s Incredibles 2. A new deleted scene shows what Honey’s physical appearance would have looked like.

Incredibles 2, available now on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD, features an array of bonus features, several of which center on the character Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson). As the literally cool best friend of Mr. Incredible, Frozone and his wife Honey have been a meme since 2004’s The Incredibles. But in both the first film and its sequel, Incredibles 2, Honey remained off screen, eternally yelling at her husband from another room in their swanky house.

A bonus feature in the home video release of Incredibles 2, however, reveals director Brad Bird had plans to actually show fans Honey. But as Bird explains, the scene — where Honey presses a button to reveal Frozone’s super suit all tidy and prepared for action — halted the movie’s momentum.

“We felt like … we stayed away from the big action scene for too long and felt like we were killing the momentum we were gaining by having this big action scene,” Bird says. The filmmakers also decided the “off-cameraness of it is part of the joke,” that Honey can be “anyone you imagine her to be.”

Another bonus feature contained in the Incredibles 2 release is Frozone’s own very cool theme song, which has the same kind of ‘70s funk reminiscent of other superheroes like Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman or the Japanese TV series, Himitsu Sentai Goranger. You can listen to Frozone’s theme below:

Incredibles 2 is available now on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital HD, and VOD.
