'Fortnite' Rift Locations: Season 6 Map Shows Where All the Portals Are Now

Use them before they're gone.

There’s nothing quite like a rift to get you out of a tough spot in Fortnite: Battle Royale. Jumping into one of these ghostly blue portals will send you high in the air, offering an easy escape and the opportunity to glide across the map towards a new location. So where are all the rifts in Fortnite Season 6? We’ve got all the new locations (and a few old unchanged old ones) in our handy map right in this article.

Rifts first appeared at the end of Fortnite Season 4 when a live rocket ship launch left a crack in the sky. As that shiny blue crack continued to grow it created smaller portals across the map, which started sucking up objects and spitting out new ones.

With the start of Season 5, Fortnite made it possible for players to use the portals. Running into one sends you way up in the sky where you can activate your glider and float down to a new location. The rifts also figured into a Season 5 challenge where player had to use five of them over the course of the 10-week season.

With Season 6, Fortnite introduced new in-game mechanics like the Shadow Stones that temporarily turn you into a ghost and the giant floating island in the middle of Loot Lake. However, the rifts are still there, though there aren’t quite as many as there used to be.

As you can see, rifts are pretty scarce in Fortnite Season 6, at least compared to what we got in Season 5. That makes sense since Fortnite seems to be focusing its efforts elsewhere with a spooky new theme. So you can probably expect to see even fewer rifts moving forward.

Assuming that’s true, you might as well make the most of them while you still case, and this map will help you do just that.
