'AHS Season 8 Spoilers: Why Misty Day May Return in Episode 5

American Horror Story: Apocalypse is back for another episode on October 10, and things are getting ever more intense as Season 8 continues. Tonight, Episode 5 will crank up the heat even higher with the return of music icon (and AHS: Coven veteran) Stevie Nicks. In case that wasn’t enough, the news might have also spoiled another exciting appearance in American Horror Story Season 8 Episode 5.

When Nicks made an appearance in the Coven episode, “The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks,” it was to the great delight of Misty Day (Lily Rabe), one of the Coven witches and a huge Nicks fan. Four episodes into AHS Season 8, Rabe’s character still hasn’t been resurrected from the dead.

Cordelia was able to resurrect Coco, Mallory, and Dinah, while Michael Langdon, also known as the Antichrist on AHS, brought back Queenie and Madison. But Misty is conspicuously absent.

One of the most popular fan theories in regards to Misty returning to AHS involves Michael bringing her back from the dead, possibly to one-up Cordelia who was not able to save her from her own personal Hell in Coven. There’s also some speculation that Mallory may be able to save Misty, since there have been hints this season that Mallory is more powerful than she seems.

But with Nicks returning to AHS in Episode 5, according to her own tweet confirming the cameo, some fans think she might actually be the one to rescue Misty in the end.

“I’m pretty sure we’re getting Misty this week,” Redditor huntychaser wrote in a pre-episode discussion thread for Episode 5.

“I hope we get to see Stevie Nicks and Misty,” sebtheo5 replied later in the same thread.

“Well with Stevie Nicks in the next episode I have a strong feeling our Misty will be back twirling again,” Reddit user WinterWitch89 wrote in another thread.

And in one thread reacting to the news that Nicks will return to AHS, fans definitely seemed to think it could relate to Misty’s character.

“It’ll be sweet if Stevie Nicks’ white magic is what saves Misty out of hell,” Reddit user nebbyinspace wrote.

“OMG Stevie Nicks is going to be the one to resurrect Misty!!” Danse_Society agreed.

The theory that Nicks will be the one to save Misty is popular on other parts of the web as well, including Twitter.

Fans can’t know for sure if and how Misty comes back in American Horror Story Season 8 Episode 5, but at least we’ll get to see Stevie Nicks at the very least. We’ll all just have to tune in to see if she brings the fan favorite Coven witch back with her.
