'Fortnite' Week 1 Secret Star: Location, Map, and Video Guide for Season 6
Finish those Week 1 Challenges and claim the secret Battle Star.
by Corey PlanteA cowgirl named Calamity stars in the Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 6 series of secret weekly challenges and she goes to a ranch in the very first special loading screen. But where exactly is the Fortnite Season 6 Week 1 secret Battle Star? Here’s what you need to know.
Fortnite Season 6 began Thursday morning, introducing several new characters to the game along with a floating island and a few pets. But another addition came in the form of the Hunting Party Challenge that has replaced the former Road Trip Challenge — though most players will probably still refer to it as the secret Battle Star.
Season 6’s Hunting Party Challenge follows the same format as the Road Trip Challenge and the Blockbuster Challenge before that. Every week, players that finish all of that week’s challenges unlock a secret loading screen.
That loading screen always shows a fun, oftentimes chaotic scene set somewhere on the current map with characters from the game. But there’s always a hidden clue — the silhouette of a Battle Star or Banner — revealing a specific location where players can claim an entire Battle Pass tier in-game.
The new Calamity character stars in the first loading screen. She looks like a generic modern cowgirl, but the fully-evolved version of the outfit looks like some kind of badass demon hunter. Perhaps the Hunting Party loading screens will trace her evolution?
The Week 1 loading screen indicates the ranch just east of Paradise Palms proper. Near a wooden cattle pen, there’s a tractor sitting on the hill. The secret Battle Star is located directly on top of the tractor, but only after the player completes every Week 1 Challenge.
Use this map to find the precise location:
Here are all of the Week 1 Challenges players will need to finish before pursuing this secret Battle Star.
- Pickup a Legendary item in different matches (3)
- Regain health from a Cozy Campfire (150)
- Stage 1: Search Chests (3)
- Apply Shields (500)
- Stage 1: Land at Junk Junction
- Dance under different Streetlight Spotlights (7)
- Eliminate opponents in different Named Locations (5)
Two of the seven require multiple stages to complete, so they might be rather time-consuming. Even after Week 1 ends, however, players can still claim this secret Battle Star as long as they finish all of the Week 1 Challenges at some point.
Because the season has only just begun, what’s the rush?
