Schwarzenegger, WWE Champion: The Terminator Will Be in 'WWE 2K16'
More hours of fun than 'Terminator: Genisys.'
While we all try to forget about Hulk Hogan, 2K Sports and WWE are directing your attention towards another beefy retro icon: The Terminator, as modeled by Arnold Schwarzenegger, will be a playable character as a pre-order bonus in the upcoming WWE 2K16 video game.
The bonus was announced through a well-crafted trailer, which takes the classic scene from The Terminator when a bare-ass Ahrnold walks into the bar. The patrons have been replaced by some of WWE’s top stars, including Daniel Bryan (the “YES!” guy), Paige, Finn Balor, and Dean Ambrose. Yes, it has been a long time since you’ve last watched wrestling.
The Terminator will be available to those who pre-order the game from retail, though it is really common for these to become separate downloadable content for all months later.
The cross-promotion between WWE and Terminator: Genisys has been in full swing this year. Former WWE Champion and the actual Executive VP of Talent, Triple H, came to the ring for his match against Sting at WrestleMania dressed as the unholy child of The Terminator and Conan the Barbarian to beat up another guy in his 40s.
Terminator: Genisys underperformed at the box office, calling into question the future of the films as a franchise.
