'Fortnite' Season 5 Week 2 Challenges Leak: It's All About Toys

Data miners leaked the Week 2 Challenges for Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 5, and it looks like players will have to lace up their Air Jordans and take it to the hole in order to complete all the challenges for the week.

Fortnite Tracker tweeted the upcoming Week 2 Challenges on Tuesday. As the case with most of these challenges, there are the standard tasks of eliminating opponents in a specific location, deal a set number of damage with a particular weapon, search for chests, and find a designated spot on the island. One challenge on the list, however, will require players to do something only available in Fortnite Season 5: play some b-ball.

“Score a basket on different hoops” is one of the easy challenges for the week meaning it’s only worth five Battle Stars, but it’s listed as a Battle Pass Challenge since it requires players to have a Season 5 Battle Pass. To complete the challenge, a player will have to unlock the Basketball Toy, which is available on Tier 11 of the Battle Pass. Players will then have to make a basket on five different hoops in order to complete the task.

Introduced in Fortnite Season 5, toys are special actions similar to emotes. The difference is that toys interact with the environment, or specifically, allow players to play golf, hit a beach ball, or shoot a basketball. All toys are unlocked via a Battle Pass and can be equipped like emotes to be used during a match. While they add a little fun to the game, the Golf Toy can actually eliminate a downed player.

The Fortnite Season 5 Week 2 Challenges will go live on Thursday. Players do not have to complete all of the Week 1 Challenges when new tasks become available, but it’s better to finish all the challenges quickly or else try to complete all the tasks on the night before the next season starts.

Once all challenges are completed for the week, players will receive a new loading screen, which is part of the new Road Trip Challenges.
