‘Fortnite’ Season 4 Challenges: 5 Ways to Score Last-Minute Battle Stars
Hurry before they're gone.
by Oscar GonzalezThursday is when the Fortnite: Battle Royale Week 10 Challenges go live. This means Season 4 is close to being over, and the time to complete the challenges for the season is almost up.
Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 4 is coming to an end, and for some players, there are plenty of Battle Points to earn. A few of those challenges may have been overlooked, but there are ways to knock them out pretty easily to earn those valuable Battle Stars to unlock some new content.
Week 2 Challenge: Eliminate Three Opponents in Tomato Town
Normally these elimination challenges are tough since they tend to be in high-traffic areas, and eliminating other players requires a player to put themselves in a bit of danger. However, thanks to a rocket launch on Saturday, portals are showing up all across the island, with one now on Mr. Tomato Head in Tomato Town. This means a lot of players will act like Tomato Town tourists, and while they’re seeing the new portal, taking them out will be easy.
Week 5 Challenge: Use a Vending Machine
Vending machines are one of those aspects of Fortnite that people tend to forget about. Land near one of the main areas and immediately harvest some wood or metal. When you have 500 or so, go in and look for a vending machine. Players should focus on this challenge early on because building is a major aspect of the endgame.
Week 7 Challenge: Consume Foraged Items
Mushrooms and apples are found across the island. They provide a little boost to a player’s shield and health respectively, but they’re not as effective as a health kit or shield potion. To complete this challenge quickly, land near Moisty Mire, where there are plenty of mushrooms around. Eat a few in order to build up a shield as other players run around looking for a weapon.
Week 3 Challenge: Revive Players
Epic Games made a last-minute change to this challenge when it initially came out. It was originally titled “Watch a Match Replay,” but the replay feature was not working yet. To complete this challenge in the shortest amount of time, play a 50v50 match that is currently available — that’s 49 players available to revive.
Week 4 Challenge: Search Chests in Wailing Woods
Like the Tomato Town challenge, this is a good time to take advantage of the weird happenings on the island. Head to Wailing Woods, which is far away from all the strange events. While all the other players are looking to take pictures of portals, grab all the chests to complete the challenge.
There’s a little more than one week left before Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 4 ends. Once it does, all these challenges and important Battle Points are gone. Players will have to cough up another $10 for a Battle Pass.
Fortnite players continue to scratch their heads about what the rocket launch event meant for the Season 4 storyline. The most likely theory is Season 5 will include some form of time travel.
