Avengers 4 Spoilers: Marvel Boss Reveals Link to ‘Ant Man and The Wasp’

by Oscar Gonzalez

Thanks to the events of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel fans have a ton of questions about the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp and how it fits in the MCU timeline. A new featurette for the movie is out and it may have let something slip about what we can expect to see in the big sequel about two tiny heroes.

Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, is the first to appear in the Ant-Man and The Wasp featurette, “Who Is The Wasp,” to give a bit of backstory about the new hero, Hope Van Dyne, played by Evangeline Lilly. While explaining a little history of the character, he briefly mentions that the movie will be the first time all the Avengers from the first issue of the comic will be in a movie together. If this is right then that means moviegoers should see more heroes than Ant-Man and The Wasp in the sequel and find out how the film links to Avengers 4.

“Finally, every single character from the first issue of ‘Avengers’ is here on the big screen,” Feige said in the featurette.

If this statement is true, Ant-Man and The Wasp will have an appearance of Thor, Iron Man, and the Hulk, who were all on the first issue of The Avengers from 1963. There’s also a good chance Captain America will be around since he’s not an original Avenger, but has been the team’s leader since his first appearance in issue #4. Two explanations for having all the original members on the big screen at once is that Ant-Man and The Wasp meet up with the Avengers after the events of Infinity War, or the two do some time traveling and go back to the scene of 2012’s The Avengers, which is hinted at by some candid shots of the set of Avengers 4.

There are plenty of questions Marvel movie fans want answers for and Ant-Man and The Wasp will have some answers when it comes on July 6.

On Wednesday, a Twitter user got their hands on the cast list for Ant-Man and The Wasp, and it appears that there might be another villain in the film aside from Ghost.
