The Visitor 'Fortnite' Skin: How to Get the Leaked Blockbuster Reward
It looks so evil.
by Oscar GonzalezEpic Games launched Fortnite Season 4 with a few surprises. One was the Blockbuster Challenge where players will have to find hidden Battle Stars based on a special loading screen, and now, players can see the Blockbuster skin they’ll earn for completing those challenges.
On Monday morning, the v4.4 update went live for Fortnite in order to get the jump on E3 2018. As always, when an update goes live, data miners take a deep dive into the update and the found a big one. Twitter user @TwoEpicBuddies found the Blockbuster Skin, called “Visitor.” It appears to be the mid-season reward for players who completed the first seven Blockbuster Challenges in Season 4.
The theory surrounding this skin is that this is the first “villain” of Season 4, or maybe the only villain. The Fortnite: Battle Royale “plot” is that aliens invaded the world and it’s up to the heroes to save it, but it’s actually all part of a movie as evident by the movie cameras, fake backgrounds, and green screens found across the island.
To get the Blockbuster Challenges, players must first complete all of the Weekly Challenges for the past six weeks. Once every challenge is completed, a new loading screen will unlock. On this new screen is a secret. Sometimes it’s map coordinates, other times it’s a landmark to find, and in the case of the first challenge, it’s a star slightly hidden. Once a player reaches a certain location, a Battle Star will appear to complete the Blockbuster Challenge.
The Week 7 Challenges will go live on Thursday, which will likely be the day when Epic gives us some official insight about this Blockbuster skin.
Epi Gamesc may not be a big enough company to have its own E3 press conference, but it has a big announcement regarding the rumored-but-basically-confirmed Nintendo Switch port. There’s also that big Pro-Am competition set for Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.
