Drake's One Condition for Rapping About 'Fortnite' Should Get Fans Excited

How would you like to see a "Hotline Bling" emote in 'Fortnite'?

By now Drake has become a Fortnite: Battle Royale Twitch streaming sensation in his own right, teaming up with the renowned Tyler “Ninja” Blevins twice so far, bringing in viewers totaling close to a million between both sessions. But during Tuesday night’s session, Drake promised to rap about Fortnite on his upcoming album under one condition: Epic Games needs to add an in-game emote for the “Hotline Bling” dance.

During Tuesday night’s stream, Ninja said, “You gotta put some Fortnite lingo in the album, man.” Drake seemed enthusiastic about the idea. “Someone’s gonna do it,” he said. “Someone’s gonna pull it off. I say when Epic [Games] gives me the emote, when Epic gives me the Hotline Bling emote, I’ll do it. Until then, I’m on strike.”

Drake is totally game for this to happen, so that should make it pretty easy for Epic Games to add it, right?

Check out the clip of Drake and Ninja chatting about the potential emote right here:

The emote itself would have to be of the highly memeable scene from the “Hotline Bling” music video in which he crouches down and flings his arm like he’s rolling dice on the ground.

As it stands, Fortnite has tons of different dance emotes from across pop culture, and this addition is a must-have that I’m sure tons of players would buy immediately. It would be a simple and highly profitable thing to include, and it’s a perfect example of how and why Fortnite has become such a runaway financial success.

If Bungie can make a “Hotline Bling” emote happen in Destiny 2, then Epic Games can surely manage the same for Fortnite, right? Your move, Epic.
