'Infinity War' Will Give Drax a Surprising New Crush

The Marvel Universe will collide in Avengers: Infinity War. That means new, unpredictable friendships, new, unpredictable team-ups — and new, unpredictable crushes. Invite shippers, because Infinity War is going to be a ball.

On Wednesday, Marvel released a two-minute behind the scenes feature on Avengers: Infinity War, which will be released on April 27. In the opening, Thor — presumably after Thanos wrecked the Asgardian ship, after the post-credits scene of Thor: Ragnarok — is taken in by none other than the Guardians of the Galaxy. When Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) asks, “How is this dude still alive?”, Drax (Dave Bautista) tells him, “He is not a dude. You’re a dude.”

With emphasis, he adds: “This is a man. A handsome, muscular man.” His statements are punctuated by deep, flustered breathing.

So, does Drax… have a crush on an Avenger? Because if he does, awesome. It would be seriously rad if Marvel portrays one of its strongest characters in terms of brute strength as bisexual. (Drax has previously mentioned his late wife on multiple occasions.) Chances are, though, that Drax is just impressed by Thor’s hot bod, which, fair.

Regardless, it’s a funny opening to a very fun look into the making of Infinity War. The video features Marvel actors like Robert Downey, Jr., Danai Gurira, Mark Ruffalo, Benedict Cumberbatch, and more, all breaking character to talk about meeting the other Marvel actors. Aside from Thanos coming in to destroy the universe, everything seems pretty hunky dory in the MCU.

Avengers: Infinity War will be released on April 27.
