The Chicago Bears look to grit out another close win with potential quarterback of the future Mitch Trubisky. The Green Bay Packers are just trying to survive in the absence of injured star Aaron Rodgers. A hive mind of about 40 NFL fans predicts the Bears will win Sunday.

Starting at quarterback for the Packers this week is third-year player Brett Hundley. This is the first time since 1991 someone other than Rodgers or Brett Favre has started a Packers game against the Bears. Hundley wasn’t born until 1993. It’s been a minute, is what we’re saying. Given the inexperience of both Hundley and Trubisky, probably wise to expect this one to get ugly.

To predict the result of this and other games, Unanimous A.I. used what’s known as swarm intelligence to forecast the week’s slate. About 40 NFL fans worked together as a hive mind to make picks. As you can see in the animation below, each participant controlled a little golden magnet and used it to drag the puck toward the answer they thought was the most likely outcome. As the users saw the puck move toward a particular outcome, it triggers a psychological response. They readjust their decision-making, building toward a consensus. Here’s Unanimous A.I. founder Louis Rosenberg explaining swarm intelligence at a recent TEDx Talk.

Unanimous A.I. has made some scarily accurate predictions in the past using swarm intelligence, as our previous article explains. For instance, the swarm went a perfect 7-0 in its most recommended picks for a recent English Premier League slate.

The swarm likes Chicago here, albeit with low confidence and 80 percent brainpower behind the choice.

That said, the swarm sees a fairly comfortable victory for Chicago, predicting a final margin of seven to nine points with 75 percent brainpower. The Bears are currently favored in Vegas by 5.5 points.

The game kicks off 1 p.m. Eastern Sunday on Fox.
