Who Will Win Denver Broncos vs. Philadelphia Eagles? A.I. Predicts

The Philadelphia Eagles have the best record in the NFL and what looks like a superstar quarterback in the making with second-year signal caller Carson Wentz. The Denver Broncos don’t have anything like that, but they do have the epic return of extremely tall former quarterback Brock Osweiler. It’s Brock o’clock! Despite this, a hive mind of about 30 NFL fans predict the Eagles will win comfortably on Sunday.
The Denver Broncos had some early success this year with its reliably strong defense and some decent play from former seventh round pick Trevor Siemian. But the team has unraveled in recent weeks, and at 3-5 their playoff hopes are starting to look like they are in distinct jeopardy. The surging Eagles aren’t the ideal opponent then, considering they have looked like the best team in the league for weeks. It’s going to take a whole lot of believing in the 6’7” galoot that is Brock Osweiler to see a path to victory for Denver here.

To predict the result of this and other games, Unanimous A.I. used what’s known as swarm intelligence to forecast the week’s slate. More than 40 NFL fans worked together as a hive mind to make picks. As you can see in the animation below, each participant controlled a little golden magnet and used it to drag the puck toward the answer they thought was the most likely outcome. As the users saw the puck move toward a particular outcome, it triggers a psychological response. They readjust their decision-making, building toward a consensus. Unanimous A.I. has made some scarily accurate predictions in the past using swarm intelligence, as our previous article explains. For instance, the swarm went a perfect 7-0 in its most recommended picks for a recent English Premier League slate.
This is one of the swarm’s most confident picks of the week, as the Eagles get the high confidence prediction with 95 percent brainpower behind the choice.
The hive mind doesn’t quite see a blowout here, but the predict a comfortable win of about 10 to 12 points, with 82 percent brainpower behind it. That would cover the 7.5-point Las Vegas spread.
