Supreme Leader Snoke has purposely cloaked himself in mystery at the outer edges of a galaxy far, far away. Star Wars fans have slowly been unraveling that mystery, though, and details from a new Star Wars book might have revealed something huge.
Reddit user chem072117 posted a ton of photos from the Updated and Expanded version of Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know to r/StarWarsLeaks on Tuesday.
A lot of Star Wars fans have thought that Snoke might not actually be a Sith — he might just be an extremely old and powerful Force-sensitive being with a wicked megalomaniacal streak. These photos from Absolutely Everything You Need to Know, though, totally hint that Snoke is more than just a Force-sensitive.
It’s very likely that Snoke is a full-blown Sith Master.
The section about Snoke confirms that “Among Snoke’s many frightening powers are telepathy and Force chokes and throws!” None of those are exactly simple Force tricks; if Snoke were simply Force sensitive, his powers would probably stop short of telepathy, let alone Force chokes.
The questions that remain are, what, exactly, those other “frightening powers” are and whether or not Star Wars fans will get to see Snoke use them in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Director Rian Johnson confirmed back in August that fans wouldn’t get too many more details about Snoke in The Last Jedi. But that doesn’t mean he’ll be powerless.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres in theaters on December 15.
