'Rick and Morty' Season 3 Finale Outs Twisted Presidential Habits

Kennedy, Truman, McKinley, and Lincoln were some total freaks.

The teaser for the Rick and Morty Season 3 finale reveals not only the return of Keith David’s President of the United States, but Rick and Morty go to the White House and find out that all your favorite Presidents were into some pretty twisted shit.

“The Rickchurian Mortydate” plays on The Manchurian Candidate, but the teaser shows Rick and Morty being summoned to the White House by the same President of the United States that appeared in the “Get Schwifty” episode, as voiced by Keith David.

“Mr. President,” Morty says plainly as a greeting. (When did this kid get so brazen?)

“Some kind of alien goo-gah,” the President says, “has infested the Kennedy Sex Tunnels.” Morty’s just as surprised as you are that such a thing exists. But the President goes on to list “the Truman Cocaine Lounge, McKinley Hooker Dump, and the Lincoln Slave Coliseum.” He adds that Lincoln “didn’t free them all.” Down in the tunnels, Rick stuns a dog-like alien with a stun pistol, and it whimpers away.

The President looks deeply disappointed with his disgraceful predecessors.

Adult Swim

Especially considering the fact that this is the Season 3 finale, chances are high that this “premise” is a classic case of Rick and Morty misdirection.

Remember that “Big Trouble in Little Sanchez” was ostensibly about Rick infiltrating Morty and Summer’s school to root out a vampire, but Coach Feratu was defeated offscreen. The episode was instead all about Tiny Rick’s teen angst. More recent and glaring was “Tales From the Citadel” which aired during “The Ricklantis Mixup.” Rick and Morty went to Atlantis while we watched Evil Morty take over the Citadel.

Let’s hope that that the finale might actually bring Evil Morty back into the fray to clash with Rick before we say goodbye to Rick and Morty for who knows how long.

After all, so far there’s been no official word about a Season 4.

The Rick and Morty Season 3 finale airs Sunday, October 1 on Adult Swim at 11:30 p.m.

A fan theory about Evil Morty seems very likely. Check out this video to find out more.
