Here's What Vision Will Wear in 'Avengers: Infinity War'

Who is the most stylish Avenger? As it turns out, it may be the Vision. Paul Bettany has shared a new photo from Avengers: Infinity War in which he’s doing something we’ve never seen Vision do before.

What Happened

On Instagram, Bettany shared an amusing photo of himself shot by Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/the Hulk) of Bettany filling out some forms (with a … Sharpie?) while in his Vision costume. In addition to the mocap bulbs on his face, Bettany is also wearing reading glasses, which is just icing on the cake. Here is Vision, a sentient robot powered by an all-powerful Infinity Stone … filling papers like he’s a professor during office hours.

What It Means

It’s a funny visual to see a character like Vision in glasses. It’s unlikely that Bettany’s glasses are part of his actual costume (being powered by an Infinity Stone must come with 20/20 eyesight), but the character has demonstrated a taste for human clothing before.

Again, who is the most fashionable Avenger? It’s not always the billionaire Tony Stark, who is known to phone it in with death metal t-shirts and hoodies. Nor is it Scarlet Witch, who sometimes looks like she’s still shopping at Hot Topic. It may actually be the Vision, who in Captain America: Civil War looked like he scanned a Brooks Brothers catalog to study how humans dress.

As more photos from the set of Avengers: Infinity War surface, we’ll get a better, clearer understanding of what is easily the biggest movie of 2018.
