Is This the First Big 'Stranger Things' Season 2 Spoiler?

Netflix

Other than a giant Demogorgon and Ghostbusters costumes, the actual events of Stranger Things season 2 are still largely unknown. But now, showrunner Shawn Levy may have spoiled at least one big thing about the new season.

Possible Stranger Things Season 2 spoilers ahead.

Speaking to Screenrant, on Wednesday Levy responded to the question of who “the Barb” is of the new Stranger Things season. “It’s Sean Astin. Yeah. Sean Astin as Bob is going to be, I’m saying it, but he’s kind of going to be the Barb of Season 2,” he replied. “His part is substantially bigger. He’s in a lot of episodes. He is magnificent.”

Saying someone is like Barb, immediately might make you think they’re a loyal friend, but it also implies that person will die right away and no one will care. So, is Levy saying Sean Astin’s character “Bob,” is going to die at some point in the season?

If so, the true question here is if Stranger Things fans will turn their #JusticeForBarb campaign into #JusticeForBob.

Stranger Things season 2 will debut in its entirety on October 27 on Netflix.
