Advanced tickets for Star Wars: Episode VIII — The Last Jedi probably won’t go on sale for a few months, but the date the tickets will be available for pre-order will likely be announced very soon.
On Friday, Star Wars fans on [Reddit](https://www.inverse.com/topic/reddit) revealed they’ve been getting e-mails from Fandango encouraging them to sign-up for “fan alerts” in order to “Use the Force” and “Know when tickets go on sale.” One user pointed out the same alert went out two years ago when tickets for The Force Awakens were about to be announced.
In 2015, advanced tickets for The Force Awakens went on sale on October 19, nearly a full two months before the film was released theatrically. This means that when Fandango — or Disney — does announce pre-sales for The Last Jedi, there’s a good bet those pre-order will start sometime in October, too. Notably, The Force Awakens pre-sales were accompanied by the now-famous trailer in which Han Solo said “It’s true. All of it.” But, in 2016, Rogue One tickets went on sale a on November 28.
It’s unclear if a new trailer for The Last Jedi will debut around the time the tickets go on sale, or earlier.
