Deadpool Will Be a Bad Influence on Kids With Nerf Guns, Monopoly

by Corey Plante

Hasbro brought a ton of cool toys to San Diego Comic-Con, but some of the best involve Deadpool, a literally insane Marvel character that will corrupt your children with a pair of Nerf guns and a special version of Monopoly.

The Merc with a Mouth, especially in Ryan Reynolds’s film rendition, is the furthest thing from being “suitable for children,” but these Hasbro toys will be totally cool for kids. Or at least the kids that are 16 years of age and over.

Rather than traditional foam darts, the Deadpool Nerf Rival blaster set shoots little rubbery balls, and the guns themselves are riddled with exclamatives like “Blam! Blam!” and “No Fair!” One of them even has a handy reminder that points an arrow towards the business end of the gun with a “Bad Guys” label.

The Deadpool-themed Nerf gun is perhaps the most intense-looking Nerf gun ever.

Weirdly enough, it also comes boxed with a little chimichanga:

It's just too bad the chimichanga isn't edible.

Here’s a closer look at the really cool art that comes inside the box:

Deadpool likes pizza, beer, and Nerf guns that say "rival" on them.

Deadpool’s take on the classic — and immensely frustrating — board game Monopoly is expected to be even crazier. With a box cover like this, it’s hard to imagine that this will resemble anything close to a “normal” game of Monopoly.

At least you can play as Deadpool's unicorn.

All of the properties on the board are just different kinds of Deadpools, and Deadpool himself is there to remind you that this miserable game takes around six-and-a-half hours to play. If you’ve ever wanted to spend that much time staring at Deadpool twerking in the middle of your Monopoly board, then this is the game for you.

Maid Deadpool is some prime real estate.

D-Pooly (Deadpool as a DJ) and Maid Deadpool (Deadpool as a, um, maid) are the two top properties here, replacing Boardwalk and Park Place, respectively.

Release dates for the toy guns and board game have not been announced yet, but it’ll likely be before Deadpool 2 hits theaters on June 1, 2018.
