It looks like Poe Dameron’s only true friends are BB-8 and Finn, and everyone else in Star Wars: The Last Jedi is sick of him. Is the hotshot pilot being set up for a big fall?
On Friday, photos from The Last Jedi display at San Diego Comic-Con really made it seem like Poe Dameron is on everyone’s shit list in the new movie. And the real question is, could all of this be preparing us for Poe to die in this movie?
Next to Poe’s flight suit on display at Comic-Con is a description of what the character is doing in The Last Jedi. The text reads like this: “Now that the conflict between the First Order and the Resistance has escalated into open warfare, Poe shines as a daring squadron leader. Ever brash and foolhardy, his hot shot antics wear the patience of both First Order and Resistance command.”
Now, wearing the patience of the First Order makes sense since he’s, like, at war with them, but why is Resistance command mad at Poe? If the character is really as “foolhardy” as this is claiming, it could mean Poe will end up crashing and burning in the The Last Jedi. Which isn’t all that crazy considering he was almost killed off in The Force Awakens, and that the probability of dying in an X-Wing is really, really high.
The Force Awakens will hit theaters on December 15.
