The lucky few who were in attendance at the D23 Expo in California over the weekend were treated to the very first look at Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War. While Disney rarely releases exclusive convention footage to the wider public, director Joe Russo (one-half of the Russo Brothers) said that a trailer for Infinity War is coming “soon.”

In an interview with Good Morning America, Russo said that everyone will get to see the coveted trailer for Avengers: Infinity War “soon.”

“I’ll say soon, we’re hard at work on a trailer,” Russo said. As for exactly when that precious trailer will be released? “I don’t want to spoil it for ‘em, but stay tuned,” he said.

It’s a convention double-whammy this month for Disney/Marvel. While D23 came to a close on Sunday, Marvel will make another appearance at San Diego Comic-Con this upcoming weekend. Disney may pour more energy into hyping Thor: Ragnarok, which hits theaters this November, as well as Black Panther which will be released next February, instead of letting the world to glimpse the action of Infinity War. But, back in 2014, after Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige laid out its Phase 3 slate, Feige did a classic Steve Jobs move (“One more thing…”) and announced Captain America: Civil War. So maybe fans ought to be alert for a Thanos-sized surprise this weekend.

Avengers: Infinity War will be released on May 4, 2018.
