Don’t forget who taught the Green Arrow how to fight. This past weekend at the Heroes & Villains Fan Fest convention in Nashville, Arrow star Stephen Amell dropped a bombshell revelation about the show’s forthcoming sixth season: Manu Bennett (Spartacus) will reprise his role as Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke, “multiple times.” Seems the Green Arrow and the one-eyed mercenary are finally getting along.

While speaking at a panel at the convention, Amell announced that Bennett will return to the series in a recurring role as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke. “I can report that Manu Bennett is back to being a part of the show,” Amell said, “and I think we will see him multiple times this year, which is awesome.” Amell further hinted that one other character “that we have not seen since Season 1” will make a comeback in Season 6. What are the odds that it’s Raisa, the Queen family’s housekeeper?

After a run as the primary antagonist of Arrow’s second season, often considered by fans to be the show’s finest year, Deathstroke reappeared last season in the finale to help the Green Arrow defeat Prometheus (Josh Segarra) on the remote island of Lian Yu. But Prometheus had an ace up in his sleeve and bombed the island to bits as the season cut to black. Prometheus’s destruction has left the fates of everyone in Team Arrow in question, prompting fans to guess who survived and who died in the finale.

As for Deathstroke, it seems his business is far from finished.

Arrow will return on Thursday, October 12 at 9 p.m. Eastern.
