Every single character from Star Trek: The Next Generation has crossed the boundaries of time and space, all to hang out together for a crazy family portrait. Even Data’s cat was invited.
And it’s all for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the first Star Trek spin-off show, a show that arguably, revitalized the entire franchise.
On Thursday, Roddenberry.com — a site operated by Trek creator’s son Rod Roddenberry — released two commemorative posters in honor of Star Trek: The Next Generation’s 30th anniversary this year. One poster features all the “good guys” from the show’s seven-season run. The other, features all the villians, which on The Next Generation, could simply mean a character who was kind of rude once. (Like Bruce Maddox who tried to question Data’s robot rights.)
The posters were created by artist Dusty Abell, who previously did similar posters that featured the entire original series cast and their various guest stars. Each of the two new posters will come with a character key that explains who everyone is, that is, in case you forgot that Picard had a brother named Robert who owned a wine vineyard or that Ensign Ro was once turned into a little-kid version of herself. From the famous to the obscure, nearly every one-off character is represented here along side the regular and reoccurring stars.
Both of the posters can be pre- order at Roddenberry.com right here.
The offical 30th anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation is September 28, 2017.
