Despite being an abrasive personality in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tony Stark seems to make friends wherever he goes. Robert Downy Jr., the actor who has worn the Iron Man suit for almost ten years, shared a photo from the set of Infinity War littered with Avengers new and old, a salad, and cans of La Croix. Spoiler: Iron Man likes lemon.
Tagged #afeastoffriends, the photo also includes the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch who plays Doctor Strange; Mark Ruffalo who plays Bruce Banner, aka the Incredible Hulk; and Benedict Wong, who plays the magician Wong in Doctor Strange.
Hilariously enough, RDJ tags the well-known Marvel moments and memes #beardbros and #sciencebros. In 2015’s The Invincible Iron Man #3 comic, Stark and Strange team up and Stark dubs the two similar-looking heroes “Awesome facial hair bros.”. Downey Jr. and Cumberbatch will seemingly carry that bond into the MCU with Infinity War.
Fans also adored the immediate bond that erupted between Stark and Bruce Banner as early as in the first Avengers movie, in which the two bond over their mutual love of science (“Finally, someone who speaks English!” Stark says of Banner).
