'Game of Thrones' Shares New, Action-Packed Trailer

It’s the first day of summer, but HBO wants to remind Game of Thrones fans that Winter is (still) Coming. On Wednesday, the network releases a second full-length trailer for the upcoming seventh season of the insanely popular series, and it. Looks. Intense.

The spot opens with Littlefinger counseling Sansa, which is worrying. In a voiceover, he instructs her to not just fight battles in the North of the South, but to “fight every battle, everywhere.”

It seems like there are going to be a lot of battles to be fought. The trailer shows Jon Snow fighting beyond the Wall (alongside Beric Dondarion with a flaming sword), Lannister forces clashing with dragons and Dothraki, and an epic battle at sea.

“When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies,” Sansa says in a voiceover at the end of the trailer over a shot that looks like Jon Snow. “…But the pack survives.”

It sure sounds like Sansa believes killing off Stark children can’t suppress the family’s objective, but the wolf metaphor doesn’t allow for the team-up many fans are hoping for: Starks joining forces with the last remaining Targaryen.

We’ll find out who will survive the cull when Season 7 premieres on HBO on July 16.

Watch the trailer, which is set to “Light of the Seven,” the awesome piano song that played as Cersei blew up the Sept of Baelor in last season’s finale, below.
