'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Photo Reveals Daenerys and Her Dragons

Daenerys Targaryen has spent six seasons of Game of Thrones across the sea from Westeros, building armies and talking about the day she’ll finally take the Iron Throne. At last, that day has arrived in a new Season 7 photo.

Released by Time, the photo from the Season 7 premiere episode shows Daenerys, Missandei, Tyrion, and a supremely unimpressed looking Varys in a row boat, landing in Westeros. Her fleet and her dragons, Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion, can be seen in the background. Presumably, her new allies Yara and Theon Greyjoy are also part of her entourage, on ships out of the frame.

Thanks to the Season 7 trailer, we know that her first destination in Westeros is Dragonstone. The castle that used to be Stannis Baratheon’s base is actually an ancient Targaryen stronghold — which makes it an apt landing spot for the person everyone thinks is the last Targaryen.

Of course, thanks to Bran Stark’s visions in Season 6, the audience and Bran know that Dany is not the last Targaryen. Jon Snow is also secretly a Targaryen, as his real parents were Lyanna Stark and Daenerys’s deceased brother Rhaegar. But at the beginning of Season 7, nobody else knows that. Like Jon Snow, everyone knows nothing.
