The TSA's Instagram Account Is Straight-Up Contraband Porn
Outrageous things abound.
Turns out the Transportation Security Administration is way better at digitally imaging your junk than it is at keeping weapons out of airplanes. An internal investigation of the Transport Security Administration involved undercover Homeland Security agents posing as passengers smuggling potentially dangerous materials — including a fake bomb — through airport screenings. The TSA’s record was a truly commendable 95 percent failure rate. That shows a real stick-to-itness, no?
In honor of the fake illegal contraband the TSA agents didn’t detect during 67 out of 70 tests, here are a few things from their official Instagram page that they did recently manage to seize. These are actually rad enough that all is forgiven. The TSA's $7-plus-billion annual budget at work:
1. An Anti-Tank Projectile
2. 1 Firearm, 11 Rounds of Ammo, 2 Flares, 18 Knives, and 2 Hatchets
#3. A Klingon Bat'leth
4. A Loaded .44 Magnum
5. A 10-inch Billhook Knife
6. Brass Knuckle Knives
7. A (Fake) Grenade
8. A Homemade Avalanche Charge
9. A Six-Bladed Throwing Star
10. A 120mm Tank Round
