Watch a Teaser for BioWare's Rumored 'Destiny' Killer: 'Anthem'
From the makers of the 'Mass Effect' franchise.
There’s finally a title and briefest of teasers for the new IP coming from BioWare, the video game developers of the Mass Effect franchise, and it’s called Anthem. The first reveal came at EA Play as part of E3 2017.
On what looks like a post-apocalyptic Earth beset by huge monsters and vicious storms, a giant metal wall is the only thing protecting humanity — that and a badass soldier in power armor that could give Halo’s Master Chief a run for his money.
“Out there, you either live with the choices you make,” a grave female voice says, “or die trying to change them.” We see a suit of power armor open before unseen character steps inside. The final, epic shop shows what is presumably the game’s protagonist looming in a workshop, armed to the teeth.
With an art style that looks vaguely reminiscent of Destiny or Halo with monsters and a vaguely futuristic steampunk aesthetic, Anthem will be the upcoming sci-fi franchise to watch, especially over the next few days at E3 2017.

Very little is known about Anthem currently, but the teaser promises a Global Gameplay Reveal tomorrow, June 11 at the Xbox E3 2017 briefing at 5 p.m. Eastern.
