Jon Snow might be the newly crowned King in the North, but Game of Thrones Season 7 looks like it’s taking him back to his old Night’s Watch territory. In a new behind-the-scenes video, Kristofer Hivju (Tormund) and Kit Harington (Jon) are shown filming in Iceland, which is the location used for the land beyond the Wall.
The official Season 7 trailer showed Jon and Tormund running from an unseen threat in snowy territory. While it looked an awful lot like they were north of the Wall, it was hard to be certain. This video, however, seems to confirm it. This means that Jon remains more concerned about White Walkers than he is about Cersei Lannister on the Iron Throne or Daenerys bringing dragons to Westeros. How Jon Snow of him.
It also means that Old Nan’s stories about the White Walkers using giant ice spiders could be coming true in Season 7. It’s awfully curious that Jon and Tormund are fleeing for their lives instead of brandishing their swords. If they were merely running from White Walkers, fighting them with swords is old hat after Season 5’s “Hardhome.”
The official video is from HBO Nordic, which means it might not play in certain countries.
However, here’s a version of it dubbed over in Spanish available on Twitter.
Game of Thrones Season 7 premieres July 16 on HBO.
