The first official trailer for Game of Thrones Season 7 mostly featured Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, and Jon Snow. Side characters like Sandor Clegane, Bran Stark, and Brienne of Tarth appeared to be missing — but as “Sue the Fury” of Watchers on the Wall has pointed out, Brienne was indeed hiding in there.
The trailer scenes featuring Jon Snow appear to start right where Season 6 left off. He’s in the Great Hall of Winterfell, being hailed as the King in the North. Sansa and Brienne are both in the room with him, but it’s easy to overlook them, since it’s such a quick, dark shot.
In other Season 7 images, Jon seems to be leaving Winterfell, while Sansa stays. This raises the intriguing question of whether Brienne will join him as he runs from what is probably an army of White Walkers beyond the Wall (as shown in the trailer) or whether she’ll stay behind with Sansa and the scheming Petyr Baelish.
There could also be a third option of Brienne joining up with her pal Jaime Lannister, who looks none too pleased about Cersei’s plans, even as he stands by her side.
