It’s been four years since Futurama went off the air, and after all this time, there’s new animation for the show coming in the form of a mobile game: Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow.

The original cast and crew for the show have all returned for the game, which is developed by Jam City’s game company, TinyCo, to be a continuation of sorts for the series, since the video clips from the game are episode quality — or pretty close to it.

“I’m proud to say that Futurama lives! In mobile-video-game teaser trailer form, anyway,” creator Matt Groening said in a release on Wednesday. “If you squint, it’s kind of like a little episode!”

Andrew Green, head of business operations at TinyCo and self-proclaimed Futurama fanatic, told Inverse back in March that the team is focused on producing “what would be the best game for Futurama fans.” And according to the latest information, that means the game will “blend simulation, combat, galactic exploration, and choose-your-own-adventure mechanics together to bring the escapades of the Planet Express crew to life.”

The game picks up where the show left off, and in the trailer, everybody is addicted to a mobile platforming game where they control a Hypnotoad hopping over mushrooms. Lrrr, the grouchy Omicronian emperor, even makes an appearance, saying, “With the soft-minded people of Earth distracted by mobile devices, our invasion is unstoppable!” But he crashes, distracted by that very game. So it’s business as usual for Futurama and Planet Express. We can only hope that Zapp Brannigan will make an appearance along the way.
