Hype Up for the Battle Against Savitar in ‘The Flash’ Sizzle Reel

Barry finally realized that Savitar’s “power” and “pain” comes from his deep sense of loss, but that doesn’t help much in the newly released Sizzle Reel that’s here to hype you up for the rest of The Flash’s third season. If he and the rest of Team Flash aren’t careful, they’ll have to not only deal with the death of Iris, but Barry’s inevitable turn to the dark side as well. We get reminders of this — and a heck of a lot more — in the video.

There are a lot of interesting moments pieced together here, like when we get a glimpse of what looks like Iris stroking Savitar-Barry’s face. Could that predict a potential redemption arc for the villain? On the flip side, we get Barry wondering, “What am I going to have to become to stop him?” as he ponders the Reverse-Flash costume. Does it have anything to do with the oft-teased time remnants?

Most refreshing is a tease for Leonard Snart’s triumphant return to The Flash. He’s primed to teach Team Flash all about executing heists properly. Lyla also makes an appearance, as does A.R.G.U.S.’s prisoner King Shark. We also get this stunning shot of Evil Barry entering the Savitar suit mid-superspeed:
